What is interesting about Wockhardt Hospital is not that they are successful in medical studies and patient treatment to Indians, but they are also successful in treating foreigners as well. At 1/10th of the cost of US procedures, Wockhardt attracts people from all over the world… particularly from Europe and the US. Even the cost of the flight makes the procedure a deal. While the hospital is not full of foreigners, there is a floor dedicated for international patients. The nurses and staff on this floor are well versed in Western customs and comforts.

Finally, the last company today was Mandhana. They are a clothing manufacturer that has resolved their hold up issues (since it appears to happen a lot) through vertical integration. They grow their own cotton, spool their own thread, loom their own clothing, and sell their own products. At every step in the supply chain, they are able to make make it low cost and profitable.

Finally, some shopping and clubbing were in order. I bought Lulu a nice sari-like dress, complete with “dartee”(?) and thin pants. It came at a pretty cheap price, and I loved that part! The night ended with some dancing at a local club. Although the club was cool, I was getting smoked out by the cigarettes. So, I chose to walk home with a few friends and just crash at the hotel.
